What stationery design is

Stationery design for the items you hand over every day

Stationery design covers the printed items your business gives out daily: business cards, letterheads, envelopes, folders and the forms that go out with invoices. Each one is designed to match your logo and brand, and set up at the paper size your printer stocks.

It is one of the most practical branding services we offer. It usually follows a logo or a brand identity project, while the brand files are fresh.

Why it matters

What well-made stationery saves you

  • Cards that match across the whole team

A master card template with fixed text styles and room for the longest name and title. New staff get cards that match the old ones exactly.

  • Letters that look the same from every desk

An editable letterhead keeps margins and fonts in place. Without it, people paste the logo into a blank document and every letter looks a little different.

  • No reprint for one wrong digit

A misprinted phone number on a full box of cards is the most expensive typo in branding. A signed-off proof of every name, number and address prevents it.

The set

The items in a stationery set

Pick only the items you will use. A full brochure-style document about your company is a separate job: see company profile design. We agree the editable template formats before work starts.

  • Business card

For every staff member who meets clients. One print file per person, built from one master so the set stays consistent.

  • Letterhead

Two files: a print file for pre-printed paper, and an editable document your staff type letters and quotations into.

  • Envelope

Set to the size your printer stocks. DL for most of the world, #10 in the US.

  • Presentation folder

For sales meetings and tenders. Folders need the printer's own die-line, so it is requested before design starts.

  • Compliment slip and email signature

Small items that go out most often: with deliveries, samples and every work email.

  • Invoice and quotation template

An editable document for the accounts team, with the same type and layout as the letterhead.

Sizes by market

A4 or US Letter? It depends where you print

A letterhead built for A4 does not fit US Letter without rework, and a European card will not slide into an American card holder. Below, each item is drawn to scale: the solid outline is the metric size, the dashed one is the US size.

Stationery Design: common questions

What is included in a corporate stationery set?

Usually a business card, letterhead, envelope and email signature. Many businesses add a presentation folder, compliment slip, invoice or quotation template, ID cards and a rubber stamp. A good set covers only the items you will actually use.

What size is a standard business card?

In the US, 3.5 × 2 inches, which is also widely used in Pakistan. Europe and many Gulf printers use 85 × 55 mm. The difference matters for card holders and wallets, so confirm the size with your printer before files are exported.

Do you print the stationery?

Our work is the design and the print-ready files. Whether we also coordinate printing is agreed in your quote. The files have bleed, crop marks and CMYK colors, so any commercial printer can use them, in Karachi, Dubai or the US.

Can I get an editable letterhead for Word?

You should have one. A print-only letterhead is useless for the letters your staff type every day. We agree the editable formats with you, based on the tools your staff already use.

Can you design stationery without a full brand identity?

Yes, if your logo files are sound. If the logo exists only as a JPG or prints badly, it needs fixing first, since every item depends on it.
