Refund and cancellation policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Summary

  • You can cancel any project or monthly service by email.
  • You pay for the work done up to the date you cancel, and for third-party costs already paid on your behalf.
  • If you have paid in advance for work we have not started, we refund that part.
  • Ad spend is paid to the ad platform, not to us, so we can't refund it.

Your proposal comes first

Every project starts with a written proposal that sets out the scope, the price, the payment stages and, for monthly services, the notice period. If your proposal or agreement says something different from this page, the proposal applies. This page covers everything the proposal does not.

Project work

This covers one-off work such as websites, online stores, redesigns, logos, brand identity, company profiles, stationery and video.

  • Before work starts: if you cancel after paying but before we begin, we refund what you paid, less any third-party costs already incurred for you.
  • During the project: if you cancel part-way through, we stop work and invoice for the work completed up to the date of your email. If you have paid more than that, we refund the difference. If you have paid less, the balance is due.
  • After a stage is approved: payments for stages you have approved, such as an approved design or a delivered set of logo files, are not refundable.
  • What you keep: once the work done is paid for, we hand over the files and accounts created for you up to that point.

Monthly services

This covers ongoing work such as SEO, social media management, ad management and website maintenance.

  • You can stop a monthly service at any time by giving the notice set in your proposal.
  • Months already worked are not refundable, because the work for that month has been done.
  • If you have paid for a month we have not started, we refund it.
  • When the service ends, access to your accounts, reports and files stays with you, as they are set up in your name.

Ad spend

Money spent on ads goes to the ad platform, such as Google, Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn, and is charged to the payment method on your own ad account. We don't hold or resell ad spend, so we can't refund it. Any refund or credit for ad spend is between you and the platform, under its own terms. Our management fee is covered by the monthly services section above.

Third-party costs

Some projects need things we buy from other companies on your behalf, such as domain names, hosting, premium themes or plugins, stock photos, fonts or printing. Once bought, these are covered by the seller's own refund terms, not ours. Where the seller gives a refund, we pass it on to you. Wherever possible, these are bought in your name or on your own account.

Results

Nobody controls Google's rankings or how an audience responds to an ad, so we don't promise specific results and we don't give refunds based on rankings, traffic, leads or sales. We do promise to deliver the work agreed in your proposal. If we haven't delivered something we agreed to, tell us and we'll put it right or refund that part.

If we cancel

If we have to stop work on a project for a reason that is not caused by you, we refund any payment for work we have not done, and hand over everything completed so far.

How to cancel or ask for a refund

Email obtaintek@gmail.com with your name, the project or service, and what you'd like to cancel or have refunded. The date of your email is the cancellation date. We'll reply in writing with what has been done, what is owed either way, and what we'll hand over.

If you're unhappy with something, please tell us first. Most problems can be fixed before anyone needs a refund.

How refunds are paid

Refunds are paid back by the same method you used to pay, where possible, once we've agreed the amount with you. Any bank or transfer charges for sending money across borders are explained before the refund is sent. See how to pay for the payment methods we use.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't affect a proposal you have already signed.
