MedicalBooks.com: a catalog site for a large medical book distributor

Challenge, approach and result

1. 1Challenge

   MedicalBooks.com distributes medical, technical and scientific titles to hospitals, universities and professionals. The site had to handle a very large catalog and three kinds of buyer: individuals paying by card, institutions sending purchase orders, and government, military and company card holders.

2. 2Approach

   We built a long subject sidebar so visitors can browse by specialty, and placed three ordering routes at the top of the page. The home page mixes a banner slider, a video introduction and shelves of featured, just-released and bestselling titles.

3. 3Result

   Visitors can browse dozens of medical subjects from one sidebar, see current titles with ISBNs, and choose the ordering method that fits how they buy.
