What is WebP?
An image format made for the web. A WebP file is usually noticeably smaller than the same photo as JPG or PNG at similar quality, so pages load faster.
Do all browsers show WebP?
Yes, all current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge show WebP. Some older software and a few upload forms still only accept JPG or PNG.
Does WebP keep transparency?
Yes. A transparent PNG stays transparent as WebP.
