Questions about this tool

What is ROAS?

Return on ad spend: the sales your ads brought in divided by what you spent. Spend 10,000 and make 40,000 in sales, and your ROAS is 4 (or 400%).

What is break-even ROAS?

The ROAS at which your ads pay for themselves and no more. It depends on your margin: with a 25% margin you need a ROAS of 4 just to break even. Below that, every sale from ads loses money.

Is a ROAS of 2 good?

Only if your margin is over 50%. A "good" ROAS is any ROAS above your break-even ROAS, so work out your margin first.

What should count as cost in the margin?

The cost of the product itself, packaging, delivery you pay for and payment or cash-on-delivery fees. Leave the ad spend out; the calculator handles that separately.
