How is reading time worked out?
At about 230 words a minute, a typical adult reading speed for online text. Speaking time uses about 140 words a minute.
Do spaces count as characters?
Most platforms count spaces, so the main number includes them. The count without spaces is shown too, for forms that ask for it.
Are the limits exact?
Google Ads, X and Instagram limits are the platforms' published caps. Meta title and description lengths are working guides, because Google cuts them by width, not by a fixed count.
