Asking for reviews the right way

  • Ask everyone, the same way: right after the job or purchase, with one short message and the link.
  • Make it one tap: the link opens the review box directly, so customers don't have to search for you.
  • Never pay for reviews: no discounts or gifts in exchange, and no asking only happy customers. Google's rules don't allow it.
  • Reply to every review: thank the good ones and answer the bad ones calmly. Future customers read the replies too.

Where do I find my Place ID?

Use Google's Place ID Finder (linked next to the box): search for your business name on the map and copy the ID that starts with "ChIJ".

Is there an easier way?

Yes. In your Google Business Profile, open "Ask for reviews" (or "Get more reviews") and copy the link Google gives you. Paste it here to get a QR code for it.

Can I offer a discount for a review?

No. Google's rules don't allow offering anything in exchange for reviews, or asking only happy customers. Ask every customer the same simple way.
